Feed Management

Adding Subscriptions

Manual Addition

Section titled “Manual Addition”
  1. Click the “Add Subscription” button in the sidebar
  2. Enter the RSS/Atom feed URL
  3. The system will auto-discover and parse the feed
  4. Optionally place the subscription in a folder

Supported formats:

  • RSS 2.0
  • RSS 1.0
  • Atom

OPML Import

Section titled “OPML Import”

Migrate from other RSS readers:

  1. Export OPML file from your old reader
  2. Go to “Settings” in Glean
  3. Select “Import OPML”
  4. Upload the file

Import automatically:

  • Creates matching folder structure
  • Subscribes to all included feeds
  • Skips existing subscriptions

Managing Subscriptions

Viewing Subscription List

Section titled “Viewing Subscription List”

The subscription list is displayed in the sidebar, showing:

  • Feed title and icon
  • Unread article count
  • Last update time

Editing Subscriptions

Click the settings button next to a feed to:

  • Modify custom title
  • Move to another folder
  • Update feed URL

Unsubscribing

Section titled “Unsubscribing”
  1. Click the settings button next to the feed
  2. Select “Unsubscribe”
  3. Confirm deletion

Batch Operations

Section titled “Batch Operations”

Support batch unsubscribe:

  1. Go to subscription management page
  2. Select multiple feeds
  3. Click “Batch Delete”

Folder Management

Creating Folders

Section titled “Creating Folders”
  1. Click “New Folder” in the sidebar
  2. Enter folder name
  3. Select folder type (feed folder or bookmark folder)

Moving Subscriptions to Folders

  1. Edit subscription settings
  2. Select target folder
  3. Save changes

Folder Ordering

Support drag-and-drop to reorder folders.

OPML Export

Backup or migrate subscriptions:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Select “Export OPML”
  3. Download the OPML file

Export includes:

  • All feed information
  • Folder structure
  • Custom titles

Manual Refresh

Refresh Single Feed

Section titled “Refresh Single Feed”
  1. Click the refresh button next to the feed
  2. The system will immediately fetch latest articles

Refresh All Feeds

Section titled “Refresh All Feeds”
  1. Click the “Refresh All” button at the top
  2. All feeds will be queued for update

Feed Status
